The intent in establishing the Green Space Zone
To safeguard environmental assets, create climate resilience and weave continuous public open space across Dholera's growth sectors:
- Urban forests and biodiversity parks
- Lakefronts, canals and retention landscapes
- Public parks and recreation grounds
- Botanical and theme gardens
- Ecological restoration areas
- Cycling and pedestrian greenways
- Low-impact wellness destinations
To preserve natural drainage patterns and reduce heat-island effect across developed precincts.
To permit only low-impact built form that supports recreation, interpretation and landscape management.
The following use premises will be permitted
- 01City park and public garden
- 02Urban forest and biodiversity reserve
- 03Water body edge promenade
- 04Jogging, cycling and nature trail
- 05Open-air recreation and picnic lawns
- 06Botanical / theme garden
- 07Landscape interpretation centre
- 08Public toilets and utility kiosks
- 09Small café / refreshment kiosk
- 10Maintenance and horticulture facility
Regulatory Notes
Residential, industrial, warehousing and large commercial buildings are prohibited. Any structure must be low-rise, subservient to landscape intent and subject to environmental approval by the competent authority.
Ecological Protection Controls
Landscape buffers must preserve native species, water flow and habitat continuity. Hard paving should be minimized and pervious surfaces prioritized across the zone.
